The Volunteer Coordinator will work as part of a small but busy Groups and Volunteer team at the Institute. You’ll work closely with the Senior Volunteer Engagement Officer the People Engagement and Projects Manager, and the wider team to support volunteers and ensure that automated event processes run smoothly and efficiently. You’ll play a key role in supporting the delivery of activity across the institute’s regional, national and special interest groups, contributing to a positive and engaging experience for both volunteers and members. Acting as a key point of contact, you will manage queries, support event administration and help maintain efficient systems and processes. A central part of the role is overseeing group event registrations through the institute’s website and CRM system. You will manage the end-to-end process, from reviewing submissions to ensuring events are set up correctly and ready for booking. You’ll monitor automated workflows, liaise with groups, and take a proactive approach to resolving any issues that arise, working with the IT team where needed. You will also support the delivery of group communications, including coordinating and sending newsletters using Mailchimp, and tracking performance metrics such as open rates to inform improvements.
