Job Description:

Haringey Council’s Housing Delivery team is at the forefront of delivering the borough’s top priority programme: building a better future through housing. As part of this initiative, the Council is actively refurbishing a significant number of recently acquired and existing void properties, ensuring they meet high standards for local families to occupy. This vital work is led by the Council’s Aftercare Service, which has a proven track record of efficiently turning around voids through close collaboration with both in-house teams and external contractors. This is a new role within an award winning team: the winning candidate will have the opportunity to shape the organisation and delivery of the next phase of the borough’s voids programme.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead the delivery of high-quality repair and refurbishment works to void properties
  • Coordinate activities including responsive repairs, planned maintenance, and full refurbishments
  • Manage contractor performance
  • Ensure works meet service standards, quality expectations, health and safety regulations, and budgetary requirements
  • Help shape how the voids programme going forward
