Void Cleaning/Garden Maintenance Operative

• Perform routine cleaning/small clearing and garden maintenance of void properties and occasionally communal areas
• Clean and prepare void properties to ensure they are ready for new tenants
• Dust, mop, sweep, and vacuum surfaces to maintain a tidy and welcoming environment
• Work to Bernicia's void standard at all times
• Sanitise high-touch areas such as door handles, light switches, and railings
• Monitor cleaning supplies and report any shortages or maintenance needs
• Follow health and safety guidelines to maintain a clean and hazard-free environment
• Garden Maintenance where needed

• A keen eye for detail and the ability to maintain high cleanliness standards
• Basic knowledge of cleaning products, equipment, and safety protocols
• Physical stamina to perform tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
• Working knowledge of Garden Maintenance Equipment (Strimmer/Lawnmower)
• Strong time-management skills to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and on schedule
• A reliable and professional approach to work, with a commitment to maintaining a clean and welcoming environment
• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential, as training can be provided
• A proactive attitude and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Flexibility to adapt to different tasks and schedules, including occasional evenings or weekends, if required
• A current and valid driving licence
• Ability to drive for business and use of a vehicle for work purposes
