Job Description:

As part of a developmental vision to support our delivery of FE, HE and Community courses we are currently recruiting for Vocational Skills Practitioner to join our creative team at the School of Art and Design at East Sussex College Hastings. This is a great opportunity to work within a team and support the delivery of specialist teaching on our FE, HE and community courses to ensure the smooth and creative running of the school.

Job Responsibility:

  • provide technical support in classrooms and workshops
  • prepare and reclaim materials
  • maintain service for equipment
  • stock management including ordering and control
  • demonstrate safe and appropriate use of equipment and machinery across a variety of curriculum and workshops

Requirements:

  • sound communication and interpersonal skills
  • strong organizational and time-management abilities
  • practical experience with art and design tools and equipment
  • Ability to provide hands-on technical support and guidance
  • Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Flexibility and a proactive approach to supporting creative projects
