The Visual Merchandising Design Coordinator, is a crucial new role in achieving this vision, and positioning our brand through bold creative expressions, cutting-edge solutions and impeccable visual merchandising and presentation standards. A key role within the Visual Merchandising team that plays an important part of the creative driving force within the physical space at Selfridges.Working closely with the VM Design Manager, the VM Design Coordinator will help plan, produce and install exceptional delivery of branded pop-ups across the Oxford Street store, to assist in promoting our brand positioning and vision and purpose to provide our customers with extraordinary experiences.
Job Responsibility:
In-depth knowledge of our Selfridges Store Design guidelines
Receiving pop-up design proposals from brands/design agencies, being able to assist the VM Design Manager in responding to the brand contacts on the creative, H&S and build considerations
Attend the proposal(s) at a weekly business Real Estate meeting and circulate feedback
Attend the pop-up workflow weekly meeting alongside the VM Design Manager to receive new brand proposals from the Buying team and circulate feedback
Continually update Monday.com with the latest pop-up live dates and design proposals
Ensure store access for suppliers weekly across all installs, derigs & snagging visits
Ensure pop-up guidelines are kept up to date and reflect our brand vision and purpose
Visualise creative builds and VM kit required for schemes as required
Works collaboratively and proactively with various teams
Have an excellent understanding of new production techniques and materials
Liaise with suppliers to resolve all elements of build & achieving a high level of finish on all projects
Well informed through research on all exciting and ground-breaking art installations and events that use ‘spectacle’ and immersive experience effectively
Adheres to H&S and Fire Safety standards, company policies and procedures and attends training as required
Requirements:
At least 2 years experience in a Visual Merchandising role or related field
Proven experience in balancing commercial focus with creative integrity
