Job Description:

Assistant Vice President - Visualization Specialist role at HSBC, one of the largest banking and financial services organizations. The position involves creating data visualizations and metrics that unlock the value of data through storytelling, collaborating with business stakeholders, and developing technical solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibility:

Support the build of outcome driven Visualizations and Metrics that unlock the value of data through storytelling
Collaborate with Business stakeholders to architect the user design solution
Comprehend and translate complex functional, technical and business requirements into executable architectural designs
Develop high volume, low latency solutions in a fast-paced environment
Create accurate data and analysis, using a variety of data sources
Develop strong understanding of business domain, its strategic direction, functional goals, and the required technical expertise
Drive innovation for self and the team to deliver incremental business value
Contribute towards the quantifiable process improvement goals of the team

Requirements:

Graduates and above with minimum 8-9 years working experience in data analysis/reporting domain
Degree or equivalent from reputed university with specialization in numerical discipline and concentration in computer science, information systems or other engineering specializations
Good knowledge of Data Visualization and self-service Dashboards/reporting in Qlik sense, Looker, Tableau & PowerBI
Hands on experience in NPrinting with Qlik sense and third-party extensions such as VizLib Library
Excellent understanding in React ecosystem and related libraries
Knowledge of D3 libraries and hands on experience in Qlik sense Mashup
Excellent creative skills and ability to visualize complex concepts and turn it into user friendly solutions
Excellent skills in translating design wireframes and mock-ups into responsive and interactive web
Hands on experience in creating good web interface using best practices for UI/UX design
Understanding knowledge on GitHub, Confluence and JIRA
Hands-on experience in SQL especially using Oracle, Hadoop databases
Experience in driving and large-scale change and transformation Program
Excellent understanding of data modeling, dimensional modeling and experience of working with large data sets

Nice to have:

Hands on experience in NPrinting with Qlik sense and third-party extensions such as VizLib Library
Knowledge of D3 libraries and hands on experience in Qlik sense Mashup
Understanding knowledge on GitHub, Confluence and JIRA
