Job Description:

A leading consumer technology company based in Los Angeles is seeking a Visual UX Designer (Native Mobile) to join its product design studio. This team defines the visual language behind a native mobile app used by thousands of users every day and they’re looking for a designer who’s excited to help shape what’s next. As a Visual UX Designer, you’ll work hands-on alongside designers, researchers and technologists to elevate the visual quality of mobile device experiences. You’ll bring a strong point of view on visual systems and UI craftsmanship, translating abstract ideas into polished, scalable design solutions.

Job Responsibility:

  • Design high-quality UI experiences with a strong foundation in layout, typography, color, iconography and illustration
  • Visualize end-to-end experiences early, build alignment with partners and carry concepts through to final deliverables
  • Develop and maintain visual systems, component libraries, tokens and design guidelines
  • Partner closely with UX, engineering, research and cross-functional stakeholders to bring designs to life
  • Balance creativity with business and customer goals, clearly articulating the “why” behind your design decisions

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of professional design experience
  • An online portfolio showcasing visual and UI design work
  • Experience designing and prototyping with tools such as Figma, ProtoPie, Adobe Creative Cloud or similar
  • Knowledge of native mobile design patterns, including accessibility standards
  • Proven ability to create forward-looking design concepts that influence product vision
  • A strong eye for elegant, modern UI design and scalable visual systems
  • Comfort working from ambiguity through execution in fast-paced environments
