Job Description

Join the Store Design and Visual Merchandising team to shape the future of the in-store experience for our enterprise client in the beauty space. This role will create innovative visual concepts and retail design solutions that bring the brand to life across all channels. Focused on new in-store concepts, this role champions creativity, scalability, and efficiency while collaborating across teams to evolve the retail environment.

Job Responsibility

  • Design Execution: Supports the development and execution of innovative design solutions based on Global Brand Strategy and design intent
  • manages numerous project phases including concepting, design stages, obtaining approvals, and seeing projects to completion
  • Multi-Channel Development: Participates in the development of design concepts across Free Standing Stores (FSS), Specialty Multi-Channel (SMC), and Department Store (DS) 360 environments
  • Presentation & Documentation: Supports presentation materials of design concepts and executes development of merchandising and technical guidelines as reference for regional design teams
  • Technical Oversight: Reviews fixture/unit shop drawings and vendor flow to ensure design details are accurate and meet Global Brand standards
  • Market Research: Participates in seasonal store visits to maintain knowledge of new, trending store experiences
  • researches global culture, retail design, fashion, and art to contribute to weekly brainstorms
  • Project Management: Demonstrates an understanding of materials, cost, and time requirements on projects
  • Cross-Functional Support: Open to flexing to support areas of the team as needed, including VM 360, events, etc.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in industrial design, visual merchandising, store planning/design, event design, or related experience
  • Strong ability to conceptualize spatial designs and take design direction
  • Familiar with FSS, DS, Open Sell, and SMC environment design and execution
  • Understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, cost, and time requirements
  • Must thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and work both independently and closely under management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to stay aligned with the greater team and Operations
  • Ability to receive input from others, discuss/defend design solutions, and remain flexible
  • Needs experience in 2D drawing (AutoCAD, Illustrator, or similar) and 3D modeling/rendering (program of choice)
  • Knowledge of technical drawing/ documentation/ guideline standard
  • Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator
