Job Responsibility
Contributing to positioning the IKEA store as the first choice for home furnishing in your local market
Creating inspiring and commercially relevant home furnishing solutions that improve people’s lives at home
Using your visual merchandising and design expertise to strengthen the IKEA identity through store layout, range presentation and customer experience
Planning, coordinating and delivering projects from concept through to implementation, ensuring deadlines and commercial objectives are met
Collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders across the store to bring ideas to life and influence positive business outcomes
Communicating and presenting design concepts in a clear, engaging and commercially compelling way
Supporting a culture of collaboration by sharing knowledge, providing constructive feedback and contributing to team success
Being active and hands-on throughout the store, ensuring ideas are successfully executed to a high standard
Requirements
Passionate about home furnishing and curious about how people live in their homes
A creative thinker with strong commercial visual competence and a keen eye for design and aesthetics
A creative thinker, with commercial visual competence and a keen eye for aesthetics
Experienced in visual merchandising, spatial planning, interior design or a similar discipline
Experienced using digital and design programs such as Microsoft Apps, Revit and/or SketchUp to develop concepts and turn ideas into reality
Practical and hands-on, with the ability to organise your workload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced retail environment
A strong communicator who can build effective relationships and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels
Comfortable taking initiative, influencing others and driving projects to successful outcomes
Able to balance creative thinking, commercial priorities and operational execution to deliver exceptional customer experiences
Formally qualified in design, interior design, visual merchandising or a related field, or equivalent professional visual merchandising experience
