Job Responsibility:
Contributing to positioning the IKEA store as the first choice for home furnishing in your local market
Providing home furnishing solutions for a single product or a combination of products to improve people’s life at home
Demonstrating the uniqueness of the IKEA product range through visual merchandising competence and display techniques in different store media and activity areas
Securing the use of the store layout to create a good product overview and strong visual impact that facilitates the buying process
Using visual merchandising competence to strengthen the uniqueness of the IKEA identity in range presentation solutions in the store by working with store layout, range presentation and vitality
Actively contributing to the department action plan with initiatives that will grow the business and support long-term profitability and executing the agreed plans in close co-operation with other functions
Using the knowledge of people's needs and dreams in the local market to plan and implement relevant, inspiring, affordable and commercial range presentation solutions
Keeping visitors in mind when working on the shop floor, minimising disruption and remaining aware at all times of the importance of safety and the visual impact for visitors
Respecting routines and responsibilities, working together with the Com&In team and other functions, acting quickly to exploit commercial opportunities and understanding the impact of actions on the financial results
Securing high quality, simplicity, efficiency and cost consciousness in planning and implementing all range presentation solutions by applying national directions and using global tools, proven solutions and best practices
Actively contributing to gathering insights about store layout and range presentation and translating this knowledge into relevant and inspiring store solutions
Staying up to date with knowledgeable about home furnishing, retailing and trends in order to generate creative directions that inspire and surprise visitors with a strong visual impression
Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience
Portfolio, Cover Letter and Resume are mandatory when applying
Education in visual merchandising, industrial design or art
Creative thinking supported by commercial visual competence and a keen eye for aesthetics
Actively seeking new and improved ways of working simply and cost-efficiently
