To create inspiring store solutions for an easy and convenient shopping experience and increasing vitality by translating deep knowledge about consumer buying behaviour, store layout, range presentation and local market knowledge thereby contributing to positioning the IKEA Brand in the local market as the home furnishing specialist and the IKEA store as an up-to-date and innovative destination that always offers something new.

Job Responsibility:

  • Always stand from the customer's perspective and propose easy-to-see and easy-to-find store layouts
  • Plan promotional displays that attractively convey products based on seasons and themes
  • Create and set up functional and beautiful showroom plans that propose a better life
  • Create and set up in-store layouts and display plans
  • Provide functional and beautiful home furnishing ideas based on knowledge of interiors and daily life
  • Share knowledge about life at home with other departments and contribute to the business

Requirements:

  • You must reside in Japan and have valid work permissions (We prioritize domestic recruitment for this role)
  • Degree from a vocational school, junior college, or university in Architecture, Interior Design, Fine Arts, or a related field, or relevant professional experience in a similar role
  • Proficiency in basic PC software (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and experience using design tools such as AutoCAD, Vectorworks, or Revit
  • Customer-focused mindset with a collaborative way of working
  • A passion for home furnishing, retailing, design and how people live at home
  • Drive for continuous learning, personal development, and improving ways of working
  • Strong visual and aesthetic competence with the ability to draw, visualise, and communicate ideas
