Job Responsibility:
Contributing to positioning the IKEA store as the first choice for home furnishing in your local market
Providing home furnishing solutions for a single product or a combination of products to improve people’s life at home
Demonstrating the uniqueness of the IKEA product range through your visual merchandising competence and techniques in different displays in store to distance us from the competition
Engaging others through the ability to visualise and present a commercial idea
Working with new and unique display concepts to motivate people to visit the IKEA store more frequently
Constantly on the move in the store to successfully implement your tasks and duties
Requirements:
Passionate about implementing designs from sketch into reality
Practical and hands-on individual
Proven ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment
Curious and driven to understand home furnishing and people’s everyday life at home
Grasp the fundamentals of visual merchandising principles
A creative thinker with commercial visual competence and a keen eye for aesthetics
Able to demonstrate excellent communication skills
Proficiency in REVIT is essential
Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft Office is preferred
A design qualification and previous experience in visual design or visual merchandising are required
Availability to work 7:00am – 3:00pm Monday to Friday (and occasional weekend or public holiday shifts according to business needs)
Must undergo a pre-employment check, including a National Police Check
Must complete an assessment task as part of the recruitment process
Nice to have:
