The Visual Merchandiser is responsible for ensuring that the store's visual expression aligns with the IKEA manuals, embodying the IKEA Concept fully throughout the store. This role is pivotal in maintaining brand integrity through strategic planning and coordination of display solutions that are both functional and inspirational, tailored to commercial activities and customer experience enhancement. Success in this role relies on collaboration with cross-functional teams, such as Sales and In-Store Logistics, to execute impactful visual merchandising strategies. The role also encompasses research and application of home furnishing solutions relevant to the local market, fostering a visually appealing and commercially effective environment.
Job Responsibility:
Plan and coordinate the execution of accessory shops, shop windows, activity podiums, perimeter breaks, self-serve, Swedish Food Market, and Exit Cafe displays in the IKEA
Ensure the integrity of the IKEA concept and brand by following IKEA manuals to produce functional home furnishing solutions within the store
Ensure, in cooperation with Interior Designers, that functional and inspirational display solutions are in line with running commercial activities
Liaise with the Sales and In-Store Logistics teams in implementing the projects or daily sales steering activities efficiently with the use of IKEA display solutions, communication, and sales methods
Support the planning and implementation of the store commercial calendar
Ensure cost-effective, safe and environmentally friendly display solutions implementation in line with local legislation
Research and maintain a detailed knowledge of home furnishing solutions according to the local market
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve visual merchandising strategies effectively
Engage in regular store visits to ensure compliance with visual merchandising standards and identify areas for improvement
Requirements:
Degree or Diploma in Interior Designing or Architecture
Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in retail interior design or visual merchandising
Proven ability to visualize, design, and communicate home furnishing and retail solutions effectively
Good knowledge of home furnishing, market social trends, and fashion
Proven commitment to high-quality execution within limited time frames
Excellent command of English language
Strong attention to detail with a keen eye for aesthetics
Demonstrated multitasking ability and attentiveness to details
