Job Description:

IKEA Croydon are looking to welcome a Visual Merchandiser. We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented individual to enhance our store's visual appeal and drive sales. As a Visual Merchandiser, you will be responsible for designing eye-catching displays, arranging merchandise to highlight key products, and ensuring our store layout is both attractive and functional. If you have a passion for fashion, a keen eye for design, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you!

Job Responsibility:

  • Use visual merchandising skills to enhance the uniqueness of the IKEA identity in range presentation solutions in the store by working with store layout, range presentation and vitality
  • Understanding the local market to create, plan and implement relevant, inspiring, affordable and commercial range presentation solutions that reflect a wide variety of styles, price levels, meet the many individual tastes and satisfy our visitor's expectations
  • Collaborate with the wider Com&In team and can influence other functions, act quickly to exploit commercial opportunities and understand the impact of actions on the financial results
  • Working with the commercial calendar to implement range changes

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience in visual merchandising/retail design or relevant qualification
  • A working knowledge in design software for example Autodesk REVIT, AutoCAD and Microsoft Office, is beneficial
  • You are motivated by retail, home furnishing design and how people live, and have the ability to generate commercial ideas to inspire our customers
  • You are self-motivated and have a proactive approach, being at ease working with various hand tools and comfortable working at heights
  • You can handle different situations and are able to efficiently manage your time when working to meet agreed deadlines
  • Have a creative spirit complemented by commercial understanding and visual skills, with a keen sense of composition and aesthetics

Nice to have:

A working knowledge in design software for example Autodesk REVIT, AutoCAD and Microsoft Office, is beneficial
