Job Description:

Controls or operates machinery or equipment to assist with manufacturing, packaging, and other steps along a production line. May be expected to handle heavy machinery.

Job Responsibility:

  • Perform manual visual inspection of the final product
  • Carry out finished product sampling, labeling and packaging by following written procedure and coordinating with other departments
  • Occasionally support other operational areas which will include equipment while following strict, detailed instructions
  • Support the quality function by working within strict quality standards
  • Follow basic mandatory work instructions (including use of personal protection equipment where relevant) to safeguard the environment and the wellbeing of oneself and others

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent or higher
  • Documentation of 20/20 near visual acuity or better (i.e. 20/14)
  • No color blindness
  • Able to sit or stand for long periods of time, mentally focus on task, and perform repetitive motions with short breaks
  • Able to record detailed numerical data legibly and use elementary level math to add and subtract with minimal supervision
  • Able to use personal protective equipment (PPE) appropriate for the type of hazard and exposure potential, including the use of respiratory protection
