Job Description

As a strategic business partner, the Director, Visual Merchandising – South, based in Miami, Florida, is responsible for leading the regional visual merchandising function across FL, TX, CO, and LA ensuring consistent translation of Gucci’s global creative vision into elevated in store experiences. The role oversees the South region un partnership with cross functional regional business partners, Global VM and Corporate teams to align global guidelines with local business objectives.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead and mentor the regional Visual Merchandising team to deliver elevated, brand-right executions across all boutiques and shop-in-shops
  • Function as a key liaison between retail operations, corporate visual, and regional leadership
  • Oversee and manage regional travel and schedule
  • Ensure consistency, agility, and commercial impact across all stores in the region
  • Oversee all window installations, in-store displays, and event merchandising
  • Partner with corporate VM and Global teams to provide regional insights
  • Continuously coach and develop the regional VM team
  • Collaborate with VP & Retail Area Directors, Store Directors, Merchandising, Store Planning & Facilities, Client Events, and Visual teams
  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends and competitor activity

Requirements

  • Minimum 8–10 years of experience in Visual Merchandising, preferably within luxury retail or fashion
  • Proven multi-store management experience, including oversight of diverse market dynamics and business models
  • Demonstrated leadership in developing high-performing teams and leading through influence
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to manage budgets and assess ROI on visual investments
  • Exceptional communication skills, capable of engaging with global stakeholders and regional teams
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to balance creative execution and commercial objectives
  • Ability to perform effectively in a highly dynamic and priority driven business needs environment
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint, excel, technical, photography, and visual presentation tools
  • Flexibility to travel extensively and work non-traditional hours as needed
  • Qualified candidates must have the proper work authorization to work in the United States
