Job Description:

We are looking for a Visual Designer to join our team on a Contract basis in California. This short-term opportunity is ideal for someone who can step in quickly and provide strong design support for a flight manual currently nearing completion. The role is based on-site and requires strong command of Adobe InDesign along with other core Adobe Creative Cloud applications.

Job Responsibility:

  • Refine and complete layout work for a flight manual, ensuring the final document is accurate, visually consistent, and ready for delivery
  • Use Adobe InDesign extensively to build, edit, and format pages with close attention to typography, spacing, and document structure
  • Apply supporting design work in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop to prepare graphics and enhance visual presentation where needed
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders in the California office to address updates, incorporate feedback, and keep the project moving on schedule
  • Maintain brand and formatting consistency across the full document while resolving design issues efficiently within a tight timeline
  • Manage assigned tasks independently during the 4-5 day engagement and deliver high-quality output within standard business hours

Requirements:

  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe InDesign for document layout, formatting, and production
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Creative Cloud tools
  • Demonstrated background in visual design and graphic design with a strong eye for detail
  • Ability to work on-site in Carlsbad, California
  • this is not a remote position
  • Availability to begin on short notice and support a short-term Contract assignment lasting approximately 4-5 days
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle revisions quickly while maintaining quality
