Luma's mission is to build multimodal AI that expands human imagination. Design at Luma paints the vision of what can be, and we are looking for a Visual Designer to help raise the bar for how our product looks and feels. This is a craft-first role for someone who cares deeply about the details that make a product feel exceptional.

Job Responsibility

  • Audit and elevate the product's visual design
  • Build and own the design system
  • Bring the design system to life using AI coding tools
  • Set and hold the visual bar for the team

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in visual and UI design
  • Portfolio that demonstrates exceptional craft across typography, color, layout, and interaction
  • Thinking in systems
  • Ability to build with AI coding tools
  • Having a point of view on design decisions
  • Shipping work that made it into production
  • Attention to detail
  • Experience designing for creative production tools
  • Familiarity with design token systems
  • Experience building a live component library or design system using AI tools
  • Experience designing for desktop applications
