Job Description

The College of Education at Texas Christian University seeks candidates for a full-time faculty position. It is on campus and in person, though some teaching assignments may involve online courses. This is a one-year, full-time, non-renewable position beginning August 2026. The position involves teaching educational leadership courses in the evening and on weekends (once per month). The position also requires service and program coordination, which includes: marketing and recruitment, course development, student advisement, and supervision of principal and superintendent practicum experiences.

Requirements

  • An earned Ph.D. or Ed.D. in educational leadership or a related field
  • Valid Texas principal and superintendent (TEA-issued certificates)
  • At least three years of experience working in an accredited public or independent school setting as a school leader
  • Demonstrated success or the potential for success in teaching graduate courses related to educational leadership and research methods
  • Demonstrated commitment to the mission, vision, and values of TCU, the College of Education, and the Department of Educational Leadership & Higher Education
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with faculty, students, and staff
  • Evidence of strong written and oral communication skills
  • An academic record of excellence in teaching and service appropriate to rank.
