Job Responsibility

Teaching a variety of in-class and online courses (every semester), a wide range of civil engineering, construction, and construction engineering courses including but not limited to Engineering Graphics, Construction Graphics, Civil Engineering Computations, Introduction to Construction Management, and Introduction to Senior Project

Requirements

  • Earned M.S. degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Construction Management, or a closely related field with at least 18 graduate semester hours in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or Construction Management, by August 1, 2026
  • Effective communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to engage with institutional student success initiatives
  • Commitment to engaging with best practice initiatives in instruction and pedagogy, mentoring, and curriculum design and development

Nice to have

  • Earned M.S. or Ph.D. degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Construction Management, or a closely related field with at least 18 graduate semester hours in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or Construction Management, by August 1, 2026
  • Teaching experience at a higher education institution
  • Instructional expertise that complements existing faculty in the department
