Virtual/digital events specialist //planner

• Support logistics for virtual education events, including working with vendors to plan and execute events
• creating promotional pieces
• submitting approved event content for uploading to bd.com and other approved sites
• Work effectively with other BU Surgical Educational team members, such as Digital Education Specialist, Surgeon Education Regional Managers, and Coordinator team to ensure alignment
• Support Digital Education Specialist with reporting metrics using MS Excel
• Support process improvement initiatives to increase team efficiency and effectiveness (e.g. CVENT implementation and other initiatives as identified)
• Other ad hoc projects as assigned

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 2-3 years of combined experience in event planning and/or administrative support
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite required (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook)
• Advanced proficiency with MS Excel preferred (i.e. ability to work with Pivot tables, use VLOOKUP, and apply rules and filters)
• Light design skills to apply templates for the creation of promotional pieces in LucidPress/Marq (or Adobe Creative Suite)
• Experience with collaborative tools within the Microsoft environment strongly preferred (e.g. MS Teams, Sharepoint, OneDrive)
• Ability to learn quickly, manage time and prioritize a range of tasks
• Ability to work with others in a team environment
• Strong desire for creativity, ownership, and accountability
• Strong communication/feedback skills
• Strong attention to detail
