The Videoconferencing Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting videoconferencing solutions using Cisco and Microsoft Teams platforms. This role ensures seamless collaboration experiences, high availability, and secure operation of video and unified communications systems across the enterprise.
Job Responsibility:
Design, deploy, and maintain Cisco and Microsoft Teams videoconferencing solutions
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to video endpoints, conferencing bridges, and integrations
Manage user provisioning, permissions, and policies for video platforms
Monitor system performance, conduct regular health checks, and optimize for reliability and quality
Collaborate with internal teams and vendors for escalations, upgrades, and new feature rollouts
Provide user training and create documentation for best practices
Ensure compliance with security and data protection standards
Participate in incident response and root cause analysis for service-impacting events
Requirements:
Degree or diploma in IT, Networking, or related field
Microsoft Teams Administrator Associate or equivalent
Polycom Certified Videoconferencing Engineer (PCVE) is a plus
Microsoft Teams Rooms Technical Solutions
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Collaboration or higher (preferred)
3+ years in videoconferencing engineering or unified communications support
Experience with both Cisco and Microsoft Teams environments
Proven track record in large-scale deployments and troubleshooting
In-depth knowledge of Cisco (Webex, TelePresence, UCCE) and Microsoft Teams video solutions
Familiarity with network protocols (SIP, H.323), SBCs, and cloud video interop
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing environments
Ability to attend clients Munich site / lab to test new devices, firmware etc.
