Job Description:

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team at Modular Media. This role is ideal for a junior video editor with strong foundational skills who is eager to grow, take on new challenges and broaden their experience in a fast-paced creative environment. You’ll work closely with our team to support a range of projects, with clear opportunities to develop your craft and expand your responsibilities over time. The role is mainly based in post-production as junior editor but will require a basic understanding and interest in the whole production process. Most of our productions are run by a small crew meaning each person has multiple responsibilities and must understand the bigger picture of the job. In fitting with this, we will also involve you in pre-production and production activities.

Job Responsibility:

  • Post Production – Core Role: Media management, backups and archives
  • Project setup, selects from rushes etc
  • Assemble edits (offline edit)
  • Finishing edits (online edit) – Depending on skill level, training provided.
  • Colour Grade and motion graphics – Depending on skill level, training provided.
  • Photo Editing/touchup – potential role
  • Pre-Production – Depending on work-load and successful applicants skill level and interest: Preparation of Production documents.
  • Research
  • Location scouting, talent search
  • Kit booking
  • Production – Depending on work-load and successful applicants skill level and interest: Assisting on video and photography shoots
  • Runner duties, carrying & setting up kit, time-keeping, looking after talent (models etc). The roles will vary job to job.
  • BTS photo & video

Requirements:

  • 16+ years old
  • English & maths GCSE or equivalent grade above C/4
