Vice President (Trade Management Group) - The Vice President of the Trade Management Group in Singapore is a highly motivated individual responsible for supporting the firm's house and client trading across a broad range of listed futures and options (Exchange Traded Derivatives - ETD), with a primary focus on APAC ETD Exchanges (e.g., ASX, OSE, HK, SGX, Korea, Taiwan, India). The role involves a tripartite focus on business-as-usual (BAU) escalation, participation in BAU projects, and various management responsibilities. A critical aspect of this role is maintaining a strong focus on accuracy, timely risk management, and diligent root cause analysis for any trade flow failures. Additional knowledge of OTC Cleared products (e.g., JSCC, LCH, ICE, CME) is considered a significant advantage.
Job Responsibility
Point of Contact for BAU Escalation: Manage intraday trade matching and exception resolution against exchanges and carry brokers
Ensure timely and accurate trade allocation by sales, traders, and middle office in adherence to exchange deadlines
Oversee the processing of give-in and give-out transactions on the exchange
Handle high risk events, including exercise/assignment, expiries, cash settlements, and deliveries
Execute daily reporting to exchanges for close-outs, regulatory position reporting eg ASX DBOR, SGX PCS, and large trader data/CFTC reporting
Collaborate closely with sales, traders, middle office, exchanges, and clearing brokers to promptly resolve trade breaks and exceptions
Involvement in BAU Projects: Participate actively in projects, including exchange-mandated upgrades, new contract launches, system testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
Contribute to major migrations of legacy systems
Management Roles: Assist in the effective management of both local and remote teams
Represent the team by attending and hosting management-related meetings within the region and with UK/US counterparties
Manage administrative tasks including Risk and Controls, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), Management Trainee Programs (MTPs), and management reporting
Ensure prompt issue escalation and diligent follow-up on root cause investigations
Requirements
In-depth knowledge and proven experience with Exchange Traded Derivatives (ETD)
Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in ETD Operations
Demonstrated management track record and strong leadership capabilities
Solid understanding of key industry futures systems
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
Strong team player with the ability to thrive in a global and regional team environment
Strong ability to influence change and drive process improvements
Strong ability to work in fast paced, time sensitive environments, including working on Singapore Public holidays and providing BAU escalation coverage for late shift
