Job Description:
Fivetran is looking for a Vice President of Systems Engineering to manage our application systems across the company. This includes the architectural strategy and design, the integration, the configuration and change management, and the operations of those systems. A key responsibility is to ensure the integrations with Fivetran's Automated Data Movement Platform are of the highest quality, security, and reliability, delivering a superior end-to-end customer experience. This role reports to Engineering and will be part of the worldwide engineering leadership team. The successful candidate has a proven track record of leading teams that can architect, design, engineer, implement, and operate business systems such as Salesforce, Marketo, NetSuite, and Catalyst, to name a few. The VP of Systems Engineering will also partner closely with sales, marketing, finance, analytics, legal, people operations, support, and R&D to ensure that their business and operational needs are met 24x7. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in software engineering, engineering leadership, business system architectures, systems management, and operations management, a strong analytical mindset, and the ability to leverage data to drive insights and inform decisions. They will be a technical, strategic, first-principle thinker with exceptional leadership and communication skills, able to motivate and inspire teams to achieve ambitious systems, integration, and reliability goals. As the VP of Systems Engineering, this individual will play a critical role in Fivetran's continued growth and success and will be instrumental in shaping the future of the company's operations. This is a full-time, hybrid position based out of our Oakland, CA office.
