Job Description

Vice President role in Institutional Credit Management (ICM), a critical component of Citi's First Line of defence for wholesale and counterparty credit risk management. The role involves structuring umbrella trading-programs for clients, balancing risk vs profitability, and increasing Citi's fee-based revenue and market-making execution while managing the firm's risk in times of market volatility and stress.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage pre-settlement risk for an assigned group of financial institutions and corporates
  • Provide timely trade approvals within delegated authority
  • Conduct regular portfolio reviews to identify and act on potential risks
  • Serve as a key subject matter expert for internal partners and clients
  • Provide guidance to resolve complex issues related to quantitative risk calculations
  • Conduct periodic, metric-driven credit reviews
  • Analyze portfolios and propose risk limits
  • Utilize risk management tools for measurement, monitoring and management of exposure
  • Communicate risk metrics to internal trading desks, Credit Risk and external clients

Requirements

  • At least 5 to 8 years of experience in counterparty credit risk or XVA
  • Degree in Business, Finance or Mathematics
  • Strong understanding of derivatives and key risk concepts (VaR, Factor Sensitivities, Stress Test)
  • Strong, relevant work experience in counterparty credit risk or XVA
  • Displays strong ownership and urgency
  • Ability to make sound judgements by effectively navigating ambiguity and reconciling divergent information
  • Ability to maintain seamless communication and teamwork with cross-functional partners across time-zones
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Nice to have

  • Programming skills in Python, VBA
  • Experience with Bloomberg
  • Candidates with strong experience in market risk management and familiarity with credit risk management would also be considered
