Job Description

The Vice President of Revenue Cycle will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer and will oversee the hospital and physician billing services, processes, and technology across multiple locations and payers. This position is responsible for developing and managing policies and procedures that ensure the efficient operation of the organization’s Revenue Cycle program, essential for generating sufficient cash flow to support both operations and strategic initiatives. To maximize operational efficiency, optimize reimbursement, and deliver exceptional customer service, the VP will organize and lead intra-departmental efforts. The areas reporting to the VP of Revenue Cycle will include Patient Access, Revenue Integrity, Hospital and Physician Patient Financial Services, and Clinic and Ambulatory Coding.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required
  • a master’s degree in a related field is desirable
  • 15+ years of progressive management experience required in healthcare receivables, demonstrating ever-increasing and progressive responsibilities
  • Extensive knowledge of hospital and professional fee Revenue Cycle and regulatory requirements related to the Revenue Cycle
  • Experience with payers, providers, hospitals, and physicians and understand the commensurate requirements for facilitating accounts receivable resolution, cash flow, billing, revenue enhancement and patient service issues
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to effectively communicate to many different audience levels
  • Ability to read, write and speak intelligible English
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to communicate with patients, family, peers, and medical personnel
  • Requires emotional stability and resilience
