Job Description

Mastercard Payment Services (MPS) delivers account-to-account payment services and infrastructure in four markets. Our main markets are Norway and Denmark, with eFaktura and Avtalegiro in Norway and Betalingsservice in Denmark as examples of key brands in the portfolio. We also deliver real-time payments in two markets in Central Europe. The Vice President, MPS Product Sales and Marketing will lead the transformation from domestic sales teams to a Nordic product sales and marketing function. The role will define and drive the sales strategy for Mastercard Payment Services, ensuring alignment with business objectives. This role will be responsible for product and specialist sales, as well as commercial partnerships across a varied portfolio. We serve all banks across Norway and Denmark and reach more than 100,000 corporate customers. The role will work in close collaboration with the wider Mastercard Group on regional sales initiatives. Furthermore, the role will be accountable for uplifting the product marketing function, professionalising and scaling our ability to drive targeted campaigns through partners. Mastercard Payment Services is a regulated business with a dedicated Executive Leadership Team, overseen by an independent Board. This role will report directly to the Mastercard Payment Services CEO and be part of the Executive Leadership Team.

  • Sustain current market share while driving significant growth beyond traditional segments – requiring innovation in product positioning and customer usage
  • Define and execute the sales strategy, ensuring a robust go-to-market plan
  • Oversee pipeline management, ensuring sales discipline, consistent reporting, forecasting accuracy, and performance tracking across the product portfolio
  • Collaborate with partners to effectively market our products and services
  • Lead, coach, and develop the MPS Sales and Product Marketing team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and high performance

Requirements

  • Experience leading sales and marketing functions, translating insights into actionable strategies and execution across product sales and marketing
  • Proven track record of breaking into new market segments and driving growth
  • Excellent business acumen and commercial awareness, with the ability to influence at C-suite level and successfully close deals
  • Payments industry knowledge
  • Impeccable managerial and interpersonal skills
  • Fluent in a Scandinavian language and English
