Job Description

Vice President, Patient Care Services is responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership for nursing services across the Baptist South campus. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality patient care, operational excellence, and an exceptional patient experience, while aligning with Baptist Health’s mission and organizational goals.

Job Responsibility

  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care and exceptional customer service across Baptist South
  • Provide oversight of all hospital-based nursing management, nursing teams, nursing support full-time equivalents (FTEs), and unit budgets
  • Serve as a liaison between the Baptist Health system and hospital leadership
  • Oversee the administrative and organizational functions of nursing services at Baptist Medical Center South
  • Collaborate with the governing Board, senior leadership, management, medical staff, and clinical departments to fulfill Baptist Health's mission of providing high-quality care through engagement in strategic planning, resource allocation, and evaluation of patient outcomes
  • Foster effective working relationships with all key stakeholders

Requirements

  • Licensed Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Nurse Executive Board Certified (NE-BC)
  • Master’s degree required (MBA, MSN, or MHA)
  • Doctorate preferred (PhD, DNP, or related field)
  • Certified Nursing Administrator required within two (2) years of hire
