We’re seeking an experienced Vice President of Operations to oversee operational performance across AvantStay’s nationwide footprint. This leader owns the execution of our operating model at scale — ensuring strong market performance, a seamless guest experience, and profitable operations across 2500+ properties in 50+ markets. The role has executive ownership of Market Operations and Guest Experience, partnering closely with Central Operations, Owner Experience, Finance, Product & Engineering, and People & Talent. You’ll serve as a senior leader within the company, translating strategy into consistent, high-quality execution across a complex, distributed operation.
Job Responsibility:
Own operational performance across 2,500+ properties and 50 markets, ensuring consistent standards, efficiency, and profitability at scale
Provide executive leadership to regional and market-level teams across a distributed, multi-market organization
Ensure markets consistently meet or exceed KPIs related to guest satisfaction, homeowner outcomes, operational efficiency, and contribution margin
Partner with Central Operations on vendor strategy, quality standards, onboarding, and regulatory compliance
Support new market launches, expansions, and performance turnarounds as the business grows
Provide executive oversight of the Guest Experience organization
Ensure the end-to-end guest journey is tightly integrated with market operations
Review and guide performance across key guest metrics, including CSAT, NPS, response times, and resolution quality
Serve as the executive escalation point for high-impact guest issues
Partner with Product and Engineering to improve guest-facing tools, workflows, and automation
Translate company strategy into clear operational priorities, metrics, and execution plans
Establish operating rhythms, reporting, and accountability frameworks across Market Operations
Lead cross-functional initiatives to improve systems, processes, and tools that enable consistent execution at scale
Use data and guest feedback to identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities
Own operational P&L performance, including cost management, margin optimization, and productivity
Partner with Finance on budgeting, forecasting, and long-range operational planning
Identify opportunities for operational leverage, efficiency gains, and scalable growth
Build, develop, and retain a strong operations leadership bench
Partner with People & Talent on org design, succession planning, and leadership development
Champion a culture of accountability, ownership, and operational excellence
Requirements:
10+ years of operations leadership experience in hospitality, property management, real estate, or market place businesses
Proven experience leading large, distributed operations across multiple markets
Track record of scaling teams, systems, and processes in a high-growth environment
Experience owning operational P&L and managing complex cost structures
Strong strategic, analytical, and executional leadership skills
Excellent cross-functional communication and executive presence
Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% of the time
