Job Description

The Vice President of Sales will lead and scale the SMB/MM side of Highbeam’s sales organization. You’ll be responsible for building a stable, high-performing team, driving predictable growth, and implementing the processes needed to scale success. Developing KPIs, making data-driven decisions, and consistently hitting targets will be core to the role. As an experienced growth leader, you will design and execute business development strategies that extend beyond existing relationships, evolving both our short- and long-term sales strategy. You’ll oversee execution against business goals, ensure the team is set up to exceed revenue targets, and remove barriers to performance.

Job Responsibility

  • Build and scale a high-performing SMB and mid-market sales org (AEs, BDRs, CSMs) with a repeatable, scalable playbook
  • Own the go-to-market strategy: define ICPs, set objectives, and drive acquisition/expansion in consumer e-commerce
  • Lead from the front as a player-coach - actively selling while coaching and motivating the team
  • Drive outbound net-new sales and optimize inbound lead conversion
  • Oversee pipeline management, forecasting, quotas, and performance metrics to ensure consistent growth
  • Recruit, develop, and retain top talent while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Use data to analyze performance, identify opportunities, and refine strategy

Requirements

  • 5 - 10+ years of sales leadership with a proven track record of driving revenue and scaling SMB/MM teams in high-growth environments
  • Skilled in building, developing, and retaining top-performing talent across AEs, BDRs, and CSMs
  • Strong command of GTM strategy, including ICP definition, outbound prospecting, and expansion into new markets
  • Data-driven operator with experience setting KPIs, building forecasts, and using analytics to optimize sales performance
  • Experienced player-coach who can balance hands-on selling with team leadership and mentorship
  • Strong communicator and presenter who can inspire teams, influence stakeholders, and close senior-level deals
  • Demonstrated success in pipeline management, quota design, and creating repeatable sales playbooks
  • Thrives in fast-paced, high-growth startup environments with a collaborative, accountable leadership style
