Job Description

Daley & Associates is seeking a Vice President of Product Innovation & Development for a healthcare manufacturing client. This executive will lead product innovation and development strategy within a regulated environment, partnering with executive leadership, cross-functional teams, and external partners to deliver a differentiated product portfolio that supports long-term growth.

Job Responsibility

  • Define and execute product innovation and development strategy aligned with growth and revenue goals
  • Build and manage a balanced product pipeline from concept through commercialization
  • Evaluate new technologies, markets, partnerships, and acquisition opportunities
  • Lead end-to-end product development using disciplined, phase-gate processes
  • Ensure integration of regulatory, quality, verification, and validation requirements
  • Drive competitive and market analysis to support product differentiation
  • Own development budgets, timelines, quality, and portfolio performance
  • Communicate progress, risks, and investment needs to executive leadership
  • Partner cross-functionally across Marketing, Operations, Quality, Regulatory, Legal, Finance, and manufacturing
  • Build and lead high-performing, multidisciplinary teams
  • Oversee regulatory and quality aspects of development, including design controls and submissions
  • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and execution excellence

Requirements

  • PhD in engineering, chemistry, or related scientific discipline
  • MBA preferred
  • 15+ years of leadership experience in product development within regulated industries
  • medical device experience required
  • Proven success in commercializing complex products and scaling innovation pipelines
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks, quality systems, and risk management
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing budgets and portfolios
