Job Description:

Our St. Francis Campus is seeking an experienced Vice President of Physician Practices. The VP, Physician Practices reports to the Chief Executive Officer and is responsible for leading and directing the overall formation, implementation, and management of the physician practices. In this role the VP of Physician Practices guides the development of physician practice strategy, and has overall responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the physician practices. The incumbent will serve the critical leadership role of championing the program and its goals with internal and external stakeholder groups. Identify, gather, analyze and present strategic business intelligence regarding the physician practices that identifies opportunities and allows the organization to make informed decisions. Embedded in these responsibilities is the ability to lead a significant cultural transformation process for all of the clinics by working with various constituents including physicians, the Director of Clinic Operations, clinic managers, clinic staff, appropriate hospital leadership, counterparts at UKP, as well as Ardent corporate resources. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

Job Responsibility:

  • Direct and coordinate company financial reporting, planning and budget management functions
  • Recommend benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performance of clinics
  • Direct the clinic’s finance, accounting, budgeting, reporting, and audit processes
  • Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget
  • Oversee daily operations of the finance department to include general accounting, accounts payable and payroll
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal budgetary reporting requirements
  • Work with clinic managers to achieve budgeted goals by providing financial education
  • Establish and implement short- and long-range clinic goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures
  • Design, establish, and maintain an organizational structure and staffing to effectively accomplish the clinic's goals and objectives
  • Direct financial audits and provide recommendations for procedural improvements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or similar is required
  • Master's Degree preferred
  • 7+ years of senior level healthcare operations management experience preferably with large organized physician groups or integrated delivery systems
  • Demonstrated strategic planning expertise with knowledge of current healthcare regulatory and policy requirements
  • Experience with population health management analytics and metrics
  • High level knowledge of HIT requirements
  • Demonstrated physician and Board level communication skills
  • Computer skills: Word, Excel, Outlook, Electronic Medical Records software
  • Coding and billing expertise including ICD10 and CPT coding
  • Organizational skills and the ability to prioritize
  • Interpersonal verbal communication and advanced math skills
  • Creativity, problem analysis and decision making
  • Ability to work varied shifts
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Must be able to utilize good judgment, demonstrate patience, and maintain a professional demeanor at all times
