Job Description

Reporting to the Senior Vice President, the Vice President of Logistics & Preconstruction is a strategic leader responsible for setting the direction for early-phase project planning efforts across T5 Construction’s portfolio. This role drives alignment between revenue generation, design strategy, market intelligence, and project execution. The VP is responsible for driving standardization, predictability, and excellence across all pursuits and early project phases. He or she will shape pricing strategy, oversee portfolio-wide cost modeling to ensure T5 maintains a competitive position in the data center market. He or she will also work hand-in-hand with the Procurement and Equipment Procurement Teams to coordinate logistics and material deployment planning. This leader also plays a critical role in client relationships by partnering with business development and construction leadership to secure new work, strengthen partnerships, and drive growth. The VP ensures every pursuit and early-phase engagement reflects T5 Construction’s commitment to excellence.

Job Responsibility

  • Develop and execute the preconstruction strategy aligned with T5 Construction’s growth objectives
  • Establish standards, processes, and tools that elevate accuracy, predictability, and speed across all preconstruction deliverables
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in cost modeling, market forecasting, logistics planning, and procurement strategy
  • Advise leadership on trends, risks, supply-chain conditions, and competitive positioning
  • Provide thought leadership in data center constructability, modularity, scalability, and supply-chain optimization
  • Direct all preconstruction activities including budget development, estimate reviews, constructability analysis, and design strategy alignment
  • Oversee conceptual estimating for hyperscale, campus-scale, and multi-phase developments
  • Develop and maintain pricing models, benchmarking tools, and cost databases
  • Partner with Procurement and Equipment Procurement Teams to secure components
  • Serve as a senior technical and strategic representative in client engagements, pursuits, interviews, and executive briefings
  • Partner with sales leadership to qualify opportunities, shape pursuit strategy, and position T5 Construction as a preferred partner
  • Oversee development of proposals, RFP responses, pursuit narratives, and executive-level materials
  • Build and maintain long-term client relationships that translate into repeat business and multi-campus engagements
  • Leverage relationships to introduce clients to additional T5 capabilities and business units
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of preconstruction professionals
  • Drive a culture of collaboration, accountability, excellence, and proactive communication
  • Establish clear KPIs, performance expectations, and talent development pathways
  • Partner with HR and leadership to recruit top technical talent and build future leaders within the organization
  • Align preconstruction strategy with construction operations to ensure seamless project delivery
  • Collaborate with design partners and consultants to ensure clarity of scope, design feasibility, and optimized solutions

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in an AEC-related field, required
  • Master’s, preferred
  • 10+ years of data center construction experience, required
