We are a fast-growing Southern California technology innovator that solves tough, mission-critical challenges for our customers in the aerospace, defense, and commercial markets. We design, develop, and manufacture advanced products for ground, maritime, and airborne applications. We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Vice President of Human Resources to lead our people operations. As a key member of the executive team, you will maintain and build a scalable HR infrastructure that supports our growth in the defense sector. You will oversee the full employee lifecycle while ensuring strict compliance with government regulations. This is a "player-coach" role suited for a leader who thrives in a dynamic, small-business environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Partner with executive leadership to align HR strategy with business goals, specifically focusing on business capture, proposal support, and scaling for contract wins
  • Manage all federal reporting and compliance
  • Design and administer competitive compensation and benefits packages that comply with government cost accounting standards
  • Collaborate with the Facility Security Officer (FSO) to streamline the onboarding and offboarding of cleared personnel and maintain DCSA compliance
  • Foster a high-performance culture, manage performance reviews, and resolve complex employee relations issues
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field
  • 10+ years of HR experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within a government contracting environment
  • Understanding of FAR/DFARS regulations
  • Strong proficiency in HRIS implementation and change management
  • U.S. Citizenship is required
  • Must be willing and able to obtain a Security Clearance or have active Secret Security Clearance
