The Vice President of Fleet Maintenance oversees all company maintenance operations, ensuring equipment, facility, and fleet reliability, safety, and regulatory compliance. They develop maintenance strategies, manage multi-million-dollar budgets, and lead technical teams to minimize downtime and optimize performance. This executive role requires strong leadership and strategic planning.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to the MVT fleet maintenance teams, ensuring compliance with company policies, safety regulations and industry standards
  • Reduce MVT’s overall cost of ownership of equipment
  • Recruit, train, and mentor maintenance staff, cultivating a culture of customer-focused service, technical proficiency, and continuous improvement
  • Collaborate closely with vendors to establish maintenance protocols, performance metrics, and communication channels that foster a strong partnership
  • Analyze equipment maintenance data and performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement, cost reduction, and enhanced reliability
  • Ensure the company’s maintenance facilities and equipment are compliant with DOT and OSHA regulations

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Business, or a related field is typically required
  • 5+ years in maintenance management, with a proven track record in leadership and operational strategy
  • Strong technical knowledge of equipment/facilities, proficiency in budgeting software, and excellent project management skills
