A disruptive and Technology driven Series C, venture‑backed PropTech and data intelligence company that has raised significant institutional and family office capital, including participation from top‑tier investors with deep real estate and technology pedigrees. With hundreds of employees across the U.S., rapidly expanding product lines, and a disruptive approach to real estate valuation and data workflows, this organization is positioned to become one of the category‑defining winners in a market undergoing structural transformation. Operating at the intersection of real estate, software, and AI‑driven valuation, the company has built a unique data moat and is now preparing for the next phase of scale - new markets, new data products, and major revenue expansion. This role is being created now because the company is entering a period where strong, strategic finance leadership is essential to unlocking a multi‑billion‑dollar outcome. The company is hiring a high‑horsepower VP of Finance to build and scale its finance organization from the ground up. This is the Founder's first senior strategic finance hire, making it one of the most high‑impact opportunities in the business. You will architect the financial infrastructure, discipline, and strategy that enables hyper‑growth, supports major product expansion, and prepares the company for a potential sale, IPO, or strategic exit.

Job Responsibility:

  • Build and lead FP&A across forecasting, budgeting, modeling, and KPI development
  • Partner directly with the Founder & CEO on strategic planning, capital allocation, and long‑term value creation
  • Develop board materials, investor reporting packages, and executive dashboards
  • Own scenario modeling for multi‑product expansion, unit economics, and market rollout
  • Shape company‑wide financial strategy across SaaS, data products, and services
  • Implement scalable financial systems and process architecture (Intacct, Excel‑based models, Ramp)
  • Strengthen accounting controls, revenue recognition, audit processes, and compliance frameworks
  • Build financial processes fit for a fully remote, multi‑state organization
  • Oversee monthly close, cash management, burn analysis, and cross‑functional resourcing
  • Manage and elevate the existing controller while planning future finance hires
  • Stand up a best‑in‑class finance organization for a company in hyper‑growth
  • Partner with Product, Data, Engineering, and Operations to drive financial rigor into decision‑making
  • Establish frameworks for pricing strategy, margin optimization, customer economics, and growth efficiency
  • Serve as a trusted thought partner to the executive leadership team
  • Bring clarity, structure, and speed to a fast‑paced, execution‑heavy culture
  • Support M&A evaluation, diligence preparation, and market mapping
  • Lead company readiness for a future liquidity event (IPO or strategic sale)
  • Drive financial automation, BI tooling, and real‑time reporting
  • Partner with HR, Legal, and Ops on compensation modeling, risk management, and scaling challenges

Requirements:

  • Ideally 8+ years of experience in a Strategic Finance role/VP Finance
  • Prior Investment banking or top‑tier finance foundation required
  • Being part of a company that has been taken through an exit would be ideal (M&A or IPO)
  • Experience in PropTech, mortgage, real estate data, valuation, SaaS, or lead‑generation models would be a plus
  • Deep understanding of SaaS metrics, data economics, and financial strategy in high‑growth settings
  • Has built or rebuilt finance departments in fast‑scaling environments
  • Expert‑level financial modeling and forecasting
  • Mastery of SaaS metrics (CAC, LTV, churn, retention cohorts, margin dynamics)
  • Strong accounting fundamentals and revenue recognition understanding
  • Advanced experience building reporting dashboards, BI tooling, and automated workflows
  • Ability to translate financial data into strategic, actionable insights for executives
  • High horsepower
