Job Description

As Vice President of Community & Developer Relations, you will own the global strategy, execution, and evolution of OutSystems’ developer ecosystem. This role sits at the intersection of product, engineering, marketing, customer success, partners, and the broader developer community, with accountability for growing, engaging, and enabling a large-scale, enterprise-focused developer audience worldwide. You will lead a global Developer Relations and Community organization responsible for developer experience, community growth, education and enablement, advocacy, content, events, programs, and feedback loops that influence product direction and go-to-market success. Your mission is to ensure developers succeed with OutSystems at every stage of their journey, from first touch to enterprise-scale production and expansion.

Job Responsibility

  • Define and execute the global Developer Relations and Community strategy aligned with OutSystems’ business objectives, product roadmap, and go-to-market motions
  • Lead, scale, and mentor a high-performing, globally distributed DevRel and Community organization
  • Act as the executive voice of the developer community
  • Establish clear success metrics for developer engagement, activation, retention, and advocacy
  • Own the growth, health, and engagement of the global OutSystems developer community
  • Scale community programs for different developer personas and maturity stages
  • Build partnerships with external entities (system integrations, universities, partners, etc.) who can help grow or improve the OutSystems developer community
  • Foster advocacy, recognition, and belonging within the community
  • Drive an exceptional end-to-end developer experience across onboarding, learning, documentation, and tooling
  • Oversee education, certification, and enablement programs
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering to influence platform direction
  • Champion best practices for enterprise-grade development and AI-powered applications
  • Lead global developer-facing content and thought leadership
  • Own developer events, including flagship conferences, hackathons, and workshops
  • Scale developer advocacy and ambassador programs
  • Represent OutSystems externally at industry events
  • Partner with Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, and Product leadership

Requirements

  • 10+ years in Developer Relations, Community, or related roles
  • Proven track record scaling global developer communities
  • Strong understanding of enterprise software platforms and development practices

  • Experience leading global teams
