Robert Half is looking for a Vice President of Accounting to lead financial strategy and operations for a growing healthcare organization in Raleigh, North Carolina. This role is pivotal in developing robust investment models, securing financing, and ensuring financial accuracy across all accounting functions. The ideal candidate will bring entrepreneurial expertise and a strong background in financial management to drive the company’s growth over the next decade.

Job Responsibility:

  • Develop and implement long-term investment models to support the company's growth trajectory
  • Oversee the process of raising debt capital and maintain productive relationships with lenders
  • Manage financial operations related to accounts receivable, payroll, collections, and accounts payable
  • Prepare and update detailed project-level development and operating ramp models
  • Ensure the accuracy of fully integrated financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
  • Conduct sensitivity analyses to assess project leverage, operating outcomes, and exit strategies
  • Collaborate with external auditors and tax accountants to ensure compliance and accuracy
  • Monitor and manage the company's cash resources, ensuring alignment with operational and strategic needs
  • Administer commercial banking functions and oversee insurance renewals and placements
  • Ensure adherence to debt covenants and other financial obligations

Requirements:

  • At least 10 years of experience in financial management, with a focus on corporate accounting or investment banking
  • Proven expertise in financial modeling and quantitative analysis, ideally with private equity or corporate finance exposure
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
  • advanced certifications such as CPA are highly desirable
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively to the Board of Directors and external stakeholders
  • Solid interpersonal and communication abilities for managing relationships with diverse partners
  • Familiarity with annual budgeting processes and month-end financial reporting
  • Experience in overseeing compliance and regulatory requirements within financial operations
