An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Finance team for a driven finance professional to join as Vice President, Financial and Regulatory Reporting. As an integral member of our team, you will be joining a group of collegial professionals committed to providing exceptional service.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assist with the IFRS and US GAAP close for our Canadian legal entities
  • Review local (Canadian) financial and regulatory reporting for our Canadian legal entities
  • Assist in the management of regulatory examinations and internal and external audits
  • Participate in the review of the year-end audited financial statements for the Canadian legal entities
  • Manage the implementation of, and adherence to, IFRS standards and new regulatory reporting requirements
  • Assist in investigations and addressing queries from various functional groups
  • Participate in projects as required
  • Proactively responding to changes in the regulatory environment
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned from time-to-time

Requirements:

  • University degree in Business, Finance or Accounting is preferred
  • A professional accountant designation
  • At least 5 years of work experience (with a particular focus on financial and regulatory reporting) in the financial services industry is preferred
  • Knowledge of banking products and associated regulatory requirements is preferred
  • Excellent analytic and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to influence and gain support for objectives
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced Excel skills
