Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Investment Banker, Vice President to join the growing Power, Utilities & Renewables team. The Power, Utilities & Renewables (“PUR”) Investment Banking team within the Energy & Power Group in CIB is seeking an industry coverage and execution banker, at the Vice President level, to join its market-leading investment banking franchise. The Power, Utilities & Renewables team provides M&A, strategic, and capital raising advisory services to corporate clients. Our coverage universe includes electric, gas, and water utilities, renewable energy and independent power producers, and infrastructure / private equity funds globally.

Job Responsibility:

  • Execute capital markets and M&A transactions for our corporate clients
  • Present complex ideas and analyses to internal and external parties
  • Generate strategic content, including industry analysis and product-specific concepts
  • Coordinate deliverables with internal product partners
  • Manage day-to-day project workflows

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of Investment Banking experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • Registration for Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted
  • Registration for FINRA Series 63 (or 66) must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted
  • Registration for FINRA Series 79 must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted
  • This position is subject to FINRA background screening requirements. Candidates must successfully complete and pass a background check prior to hire
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time
