Our client is a leading regional Asset Management and Wealth Platform. With a strong foothold in Singapore and a rapidly expanding distribution network across Asia, they are currently in a high-growth phase. They are are seeking a highly capable Senior Business Development Manager to drive AUM growth and market share within their intermediary channel. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will play a dual role as a strategic planner and an operational sales leader. You will be responsible for driving the distribution of investment solutions through a large, open-architecture network of Financial Consultants.
Job Responsibility:
Strategic Channel Management: Analyze sales data to segment the consultant base
identify high-potential teams and implement targeted engagement strategies to increase "Share of Wallet."
Market Share Growth: actively monitor subscription inflows and competitor activity. Design and execute "Win-Back" campaigns to displace competitor funds and capture net new assets
Sales Enablement & Training: Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for investment products. Conduct technical market updates, product training, and joint-client meetings to help consultants articulate the value of active management strategies
Campaign Management: Plan and execute sales incentives, roadshows, and events. You will be responsible for tracking the ROI of these activities to ensuring they translate into tangible AUM growth
Stakeholder Management: Build strong, trust-based relationships with Agency Leaders and Senior Managers to align their business goals with the firm's investment solutions
Requirements:
Minimum 6 to 10 years of relevant experience in Intermediary Sales, Business Development, or Wholesaling within the Asset Management industry
Industry Background: Candidates from a Global Fund House background are highly preferred due to the open-architecture nature of the role. Candidates from Insurers or FA firms must demonstrate exceptional technical investment knowledge (Public Markets, Fixed Income, Alternatives)
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of portfolio construction, risk ratios (Sharpe, Alpha), and macro-economic trends
Track Record: Proven ability to drive sales numbers and influence decision-making in a competitive, non-captive environment
Qualifications: A Degree in Banking, Finance, or Business. CMFAS certifications (M5, M6, M8, etc.) are advantageous
