Job Description

Reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), the Vice President, Human Resources – Asia Pacific (APAC) is responsible for leading the execution and success of Codan's people, organisation, and culture agenda across the APAC region. This role holds accountability for a diverse and highly technical workforce spanning multiple countries across Asia Pacific, supporting Codan's continued growth in complex B2B and B2C markets and advanced technology environments. As a senior regional leadership role within a globally driven HR transformation, the VP HR APAC will implement Group-led people strategies, frameworks, and operating models across the region, while also supporting individual business units in successfully delivering their business plans. The role requires a leader who can effectively translate global strategy into regional execution, manage large-scale change, and drive consistent adoption, capability uplift, and measurable business outcomes. Success in this position will depend on the ability to navigate varied regulatory, cultural, and market environments across APAC, while building strong relationships and managing multiple stakeholders.

  • Act as a strategic business partner to regional leadership, aligning people strategy with business objectives across APAC
  • Lead the implementation and adoption of Codan's global HR transformation across the region
  • Embed the future HR operating model, clarifying roles across HR, leaders, People Operations, and Centres of Excellence
  • Shift regional HR capability from transactional delivery to strategic workforce and organisational partnering
  • Implement Group-led frameworks including workforce planning, organisational design, leadership capability, performance management, and talent development
  • Drive consistency in compensation, job architecture, and benefits aligned to global standards while considering regional nuances
  • Enable effective use of HR technology and data to support decision-making, self-service, and accountability
  • Lead change management initiatives to uplift leadership capability and embed new ways of working
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant employment legislation and regulatory requirements across APAC jurisdictions
  • Build and lead a high-performing regional HR team aligned to Codan's enterprise strategy and values
