Job Description:

Sollis Health is seeking a Vice President/Head of Technology to lead our technology organization through a period of transformational growth. As the top technology executive, you'll be responsible for the strategy, execution, and operations of all technology functions, including engineering, IT operations, information security, and data platforms. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can both set strategic direction and roll up their sleeves to drive execution. You'll report to and partner closely with the CEO and broader executive team to ensure technology serves as a true business enabler, supporting aggressive growth targets while maintaining the security, compliance, and reliability that healthcare demands. You'll inherit a technology organization at an inflection point—moving from startup scrappiness to scaled operational excellence—and will be responsible for building the team, processes, and systems to support revenue growth while managing a multi-million-dollar technology budget.

Job Responsibility:

  • Define and execute the multi-year technology roadmap aligned with business objectives, balancing innovation with operational stability
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO and executive team, translating business needs into technology solutions and opportunities
  • Drive initiatives that directly support revenue growth, operational efficiency, and member experience improvements
  • Lead critical technology decisions including vendor selection, platform evaluations, and architecture choices—build vs. buy decisions
  • Build and lead a high-performing technology organization across engineering, IT, security, and data
  • Foster a culture of ownership, innovation, technical excellence, and customer focus
  • Set clear goals, provide coaching, ensure accountability, and create career growth opportunities to attract and retain top talent
  • Own the Sollis technology roadmap by taking full accountability for delivering on technology commitments, managing scope, timeline, and quality trade-offs
  • Drive Execution ensuring consistent, predictable delivery through strong program management practices, sprint planning, and milestone tracking
  • Maintain transparent communication with business leaders on project status, risks, and dependencies
  • Lead large-scale initiatives including Salesforce integrations, EMR implementations, and platform migrations
  • Build systems and processes that support growth without proportional increases in technology costs
  • Fluency in basic funnel instrumentation and performance visibility (MarTech stack, conversion diagnostics, attribution)
  • Comfort partnering on experimentation / A/B testing (hypothesis-driven iteration, measurable outcomes, data)
  • CRM and MAP expertise in a RevOps context (lead lifecycle, routing/automation, personalization, pipeline hygiene)
  • Own the information security program, ensuring protection of sensitive patient data and corporate systems
  • Maintain HIPAA and PCI compliance across all technology systems and vendor relationships
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate technology risks
  • prepare for SOC2 and HITRUST certifications
  • Establish security monitoring, incident response procedures, and disaster recovery capabilities
  • Ensure third-party vendors meet security and compliance requirements
  • Build and evolve the data infrastructure to support reporting, analytics, and data-driven decision making
  • Partner with business leaders to deliver insights that drive clinical, operational, and financial performance
  • Establish data quality standards, access controls, and privacy protections
  • Explore opportunities for AI/ML to enhance operations, member experience, and clinical outcomes
  • Ensure 24/7 availability and performance of critical systems supporting patient care and operations
  • Optimize Azure cloud infrastructure for scalability, security, and cost-efficiency
  • Oversee IT support for remote employees and clinics
  • Manage technology budget, optimizing spend while supporting growth objectives

Requirements:

  • 10+ years in technology leadership with at least 3 years leading technology organizations (10+ people)
  • Significant experience in healthcare technology environments, with deep understanding of HIPAA, PHI handling, and healthcare workflows
  • Proven track record scaling technology organizations in high-growth startup or scale-up environments (2-5x growth)
  • Strong technical foundation across cloud infrastructure (Azure preferred), integrations, APIs, databases, and modern software development practices
  • Deep experience with Salesforce as a platform, including complex integrations and customizations
  • Direct experience owning IT security programs, managing compliance audits (HIPAA, SOC 2, HITRUST), and implementing security frameworks
  • History of delivering complex, multi-stakeholder technology programs on time and within budget
  • Ability to connect technology investments to business outcomes and articulate ROI
  • Exceptional communication skills with ability to present to board, executives, and technical teams with equal effectiveness
  • Demonstrated success recruiting, developing, and retaining high-performing technology teams
  • Experience leading organizations that operate primarily in Microsoft technology ecosystems

Nice to have:

  • Prior experience as CTO, VP Engineering, or VP Technology at a healthcare or healthcare-adjacent company
  • Understanding of concierge medicine, urgent care, or membership-based healthcare models
  • Experience building data warehouses, analytics platforms, and business intelligence capabilities
  • Direct experience with electronic medical record systems and clinical integrations
  • Experience supporting technology needs across geographically distributed operations
  • Track record of implementing AI/ML solutions that delivered measurable business value
  • Experience managing large technology vendors and contract negotiations
What we offer:
  • Excellent benefits, including healthcare, dental, vision
  • 401K with 3% match
  • Unlimited PTO and Generous Sick Time
  • 12 Observed holidays
  • Free Sollis Health membership for you and your eligible family members
  • Employee stock options offering
