To strengthen our global HR team, we are currently looking for a Vice President & Head of US HR. This position will be based out of Morristown, NJ. Scope of the role: The Vice President of Human Resources, US is the senior HR leader for the United States organization and a trusted advisor to the US leadership team. This role owns the full HR agenda across the employee lifecycle and plays a critical role in organizational growth, transformation, and integration. You will lead a local HR team, partner closely with global Centers of Excellence (COEs), and ensure that all people programs are effectively deployed and embedded across US business. This is a hands-on, visible leadership role for someone confident in their expertise, comfortable navigating complexity, and energized by change.

Job Responsibility

  • Act as a trusted advisor and coach to senior leaders, supporting leadership effectiveness, decision-making, and organizational health
  • Partner closely with the US Leadership Team and global HR COEs to align people strategy with business priorities
  • Translate global HR strategy into impactful, locally relevant execution across the US
  • Lead HR aspects of mergers, acquisitions, integrations, and divestitures, including scaling the organization by 100+ employees
  • Drive organizational design, restructuring, and reorganization efforts as the business evolves
  • Support change management initiatives during periods of transformation
  • Lead and develop the US HR team of 4-5 professionals to ensure strong execution across talent acquisition, compensation & benefits, employee relations, performance management, and compliance
  • Champion leadership development and coaching at all levels of the organization
  • Foster a high-performance, respectful, and inclusive culture
  • Ensure succession planning and talent pipelines are in place for critical roles
  • Ensure all global HR programs and initiatives are effectively rolled out and adopted in the US
  • Maintain strong governance, compliance, and HR best practices aligned with US labor laws and pharma industry standards

Requirements

  • BS degree and 10+ years of experience
  • Proven experience as a Head of HR / HR Director / Senior HR Leader in the US, ideally within pharmaceuticals, life sciences, or a highly regulated industry
  • Strong track record in M&A, organizational design, restructuring, and scaling organizations
  • Experience leading and developing multi-disciplinary HR teams
  • Confident, bold, and respectful leadership style
  • Highly skilled in coaching senior leaders and navigating complex stakeholder environments
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work seamlessly with global COEs
  • Hands-on, pragmatic, and execution-focused
