Job Description:

Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, HSBC Philippines, the jobholder is a key member and Head of the CTO delivery team, focusing on Networks, Enterprise Services, User Experience for Philippines.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage, lead and develop the CTO Team in the Bank and oversee the CTO Team in the GSC
  • Manage CTO team ITSO/TPEM’s for services in scope of domain for the Local franchise
  • Collaborate closely with local teams, Regional and Global CTO chain
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices
  • Manage technology budgets, resource allocation, and vendor relationships effectively
  • Efficiently manage IT Assets and ensure regular evergreening of technologies
  • Advise, analyse, plan and ensure delivery of high quality and cost-efficient technology infrastructure services
  • Own, lead and drive the successful completion of all deliverables in the Bank and in the GSC
  • Review and analyse existing infrastructure effectiveness and efficiency
  • Co-ordinate with business stakeholders and technology delivery teams
  • Ensure high quality of project planning, execution, testing and oversight
  • Ensure systems are fit for the future
  • Ensure that business requirements and specifications are correctly captured and understood
  • Managing Non-Financial Risk items & being on top of any CTO Helios risks, Patching/Cyber related, Third Party/Vendor Risk (TPR) landscape in country
  • Financials – Working with IT Business Management to ensure that CTO charges & recharges are being monitored, future year headwinds etc. are understood
  • Develop knowledge in the department, leveraging subject-matter expertise, experience and lessons-learnt

Requirements:

  • Background in the banking sector (at least 7 years)
  • Broad knowledge of banking infrastructure
  • Specific knowledge of infrastructure relevant to corporate banking, markets, treasury
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Strong strategic, analytical and critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Strong IT Infrastructure experience focused on Networks, Enterprise Services & User Experience
  • Familiarity with compliance and regulatory requirements such as from BSP
  • Ability to prioritize work, multi-task and collaborate
  • Experience in tracking expenses and operating within budget
  • Experience with maintaining working relationships with vendors and service providers
  • Knowledge and experience of incident / problem / change and release management
  • Agile mindset, passionate about driving innovation
  • Experience with Agile methods, leading Pods and developing people with current & future skills

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of IT Payments infrastructure
  • Exposure to regulatory and compliance aspects of financial systems
