We are currently seeking a Vice President to join our growing Hotels & Hospitality platform with a primary focus on hotel and resort advisory services in South Korea. The role will be based in Seoul, South Korea and will report into our Senior Vice President of Hotels & Hospitality Group in Seoul (Department head). We are looking for an individual who is passionate, highly motivated about adding value and delivering superior results to the team. With a leadership role in JLL’s Hotels & Hospitality team, you will lead client assignments, manage project delivery teams, prepare proposals and pitches, deliver consulting assignments, support asset management, operator selection assignment, and support transactions.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead client consulting assignments for hospitality developments, investments, and assets
  • Manage timelines and communications for client presentations, deliverables, and assignments in both Korean and English
  • Prepare Advisory and Research reports, including Market Research, Feasibility Studies, Strategic & Operational Reviews, Operator Selection and Enterprise Consulting
  • Present the outcomes of our assignments and reports to clients and other stakeholders
  • Facilitate transaction and advisory due diligence processes including the review and analysis of various documents and financial statements
  • Interpret investment market trends and insights to advise hotel owners and developers on best development and / or divestment strategies
  • Conduct financial modelling, focusing on hotel cash flow projections
  • cost estimation
  • DCF / IRR analysis
  • debt leverage analysis
  • and sales comparable analysis
  • With the support of the asset management team, assess hotel operational cash flow projections and identify area for improvement and potential value add enhancement
  • Communicate with and coordinate work of third-party vendors in connection with preparation of investment materials and presentations
  • Utilize relationships and network to generate new leads and projects
  • Collaboratively strongly with peers across JLL including: Hotels Asia Pacific, Valuation Advisory, Strategic Advisory, Work Dynamics, Capital Markets and other service lines

Requirements:

  • Six to ten years in consulting or real estate development specific work experience
  • Native level written and verbal Korean in business settings required
  • Professional written and verbal English required, with native proficiency preferred
  • Proven track record with leading the delivery of in-depth consulting reports for Korean clients
  • Understanding of real estate transaction and development related processes and regulations
  • Good Excel modelling skills and experience with PowerPoint project delivery required
  • Experience with analytical and consulting report writing in Korean required
  • Strong presentation, communication and interpersonal skills in team setting
  • Attention to detail and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Undergraduate degree in relevant discipline such as business, hospitality, finance and/or real estate
  • Must be willing to travel in Korea and occasionally within broader Asia
