We are seeking a Vice President, Grants Management to join the Citi Community Investing and Development (CID) Operations and Business Management team. This team leads operational strategy and coordinates day-to-day support for CID’s work catalyzing positive social impact in the communities Citi serves. Based in Charlotte, NC, and reporting to the Director, Transactions and Data Management, the Vice President will play a key role in the operations of Citi India Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) grantmaking, as well as supporting the US-headquartered Citi Foundation and other CID strategic initiatives. This role requires a flexible schedule to support collaboration with colleagues in both the US and India. Candidates should be willing to adjust their working hours to ensure regular overlap with teams in both locations, beginning their workday at 5:00 am Monday – Thursday. Occasional travel may also be required.

Job Responsibility:

  • Develop and apply an in-depth understanding of India CSR grantmaking to implement requirements for best-in-class program management, process governance, and regulatory compliance
  • Implement, maintain, and improve CID processes and workflows concerning grant applications, payments, progress reports, and modifications
  • Propagate clear grants administration procedures, partnering with key stakeholders and cross-functional partners to ensure effective execution and coordination
  • Help drive simplification to increase operational efficiency, reduce process variation, and identify gaps in compliance or controls
  • Play a lead role in maintaining an audit-ready environment
  • Administer and configure grants management systems, including the design, creation, and maintenance of forms and workflows, external portal and internal dashboards, and process documentation
  • Ensure excellent user experience, including by providing high-quality customer service, responsive technical support, and timely problem resolution
  • Manage service tickets and serve as vendor point of contact
  • Support adherence to company-wide technology and information security standards and practices by coordinating penetration tests, third party management activities, entitlement reviews, and other compliance tasks

  • Coordinate responsiveness to ad hoc internal and external reporting requests and requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant professional experience
  • Strong preference for knowledge of India CSR landscape
  • Knowledgeable about project management best practices, non-profit/Foundation compliance requirements, and workflow management software/systems
  • Ability to design, implement, and monitor effective workflow processes and procedures
  • Creative mindset, ability to present a compelling case for new ideas and initiatives, and comfort taking on new assignments and learning new skills, with the ability to master new subject matter areas quickly
  • Experience creating and implementing processes that are systemically responsible, encourage adoption, and result in improved business performance
  • Excellent planning, project management, organizational, analytic, and problem-solving skills
  • Detail-oriented, with the capacity to work independently and to balance multiple projects and competing demands
