The Vice President, Global Fund Transfer Transparency Project Manager, is a critical leadership role responsible for spearheading strategic initiatives ensuring compliance to the standards. This position involves comprehensive program management of complex, global payment process projects designed to meet stringent compliance and regulatory requirements.
Job Responsibility:
Lead end-to-end project lifecycle management, applying best practice PMO methodologies to define project scope, objectives, timelines, and budgets, ensuring delivery of desired outcomes.
Proactively manage project scope, assessing requirement changes and communicating their impact on budget, schedule, and risk to stakeholders.
Represent the business to drive successful achievement of project requirements and deliverables.
Collaborate extensively with diverse global teams including Product, Technology, Operations, and 2nd Line of Defense to define clear project scopes and objectives.
Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including activity/progress reports and time management reports for all stakeholders.
Serve as the primary point of contact for Internal Audit teams during project validation phases.
Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, employing root cause analysis to resolve issues and proactively address potential problems.
Establish and manage global Steering Committee (SteerCo) governance to report on project progress and implementation of deliverables.
Foster strong working relationships and cultivate effective communication and trust among all project stakeholders, including sponsors, users, resource owners, and team members.
Utilize advanced communication and diplomacy skills to influence, guide, and motivate cross-functional teams towards successful project completion.
Requirements:
13+ years of project management experience – preferably from a Banking / financial services environment
PMP certification strongly preferred
Ability to develop project plans, manage individual deadlines and goals.
Knowledge of project metrics, including gathering, reporting, trend analysis, creation, and metrics.
Ability to identify issues and problems, generate solutions and choose appropriate alternatives using basic root cause analysis.
Manage project scope by assessing requirements changes, determining and conveying impact on budget, time and risk.
Manage client expectations, anticipates operational and tactical risks and tracks them
clarify, identify, and track requirements and issues, remove barriers, resolve minor project issues and escalate to immediate manager where required.
Proficient in MS Office applications, MS Project, Adobe Acrobat Professional.
Stays abreast of current industry trends and new technology through professional associations, trade journals, networking, and associated training and seminars.
