Neo4j is seeking a seasoned Vice President of Global Communications to lead our worldwide communications strategy, shaping how the world understands Neo4j’s role as the graph database and intelligence platform, essential for the future of intelligent applications and AI/agentic systems. In this role, you will drive the company’s narrative across press, analysts, investors, customers, and employees, ensuring Neo4j is recognized as essential infrastructure for the AI era. You will lead a high-performing global communications organization spanning public relations, analyst relations, customer advocacy, organic social, thought leadership, executive communications, internal comms, crisis and issues management, and more. This role reports directly to the President of Technology & Chief Product Officer.
Job Responsibility:
Direct all global communications functions, including media and analyst relations, executive communications, public relations, thought leadership, corporate storytelling, internal communications, reputation and crisis management, and issues response
Drive a unified, high-impact narrative positioning Neo4j as the critical knowledge infrastructure for GenAI, enterprise agents, and intelligent applications
Collaborate with senior leadership to drive the company’s story and consistent messaging that elevates Neo4j as the graph database and intelligence platform and the default knowledge layer for agentic systems
Ensure technical precision and clarity in how Neo4j explains graph intelligence, agent architectures, vector and symbolic reasoning, and the convergence of structured knowledge with GenAI
Advance Neo4j’s thought leadership agenda across industries, functions, and global markets—placing Neo4j at the center of conversations about AI safety, knowledge grounding, agent reliability, and enterprise adoption of GenAI
Position Neo4j’s executives as influential industry voices on GenAI, graph intelligence, responsible AI, and enterprise digital transformation
Design and execute communications strategies that elevate awareness of Neo4j’s innovations, customer impact, and industry leadership as essential to agentic systems, decision automation, and knowledge-centric AI
Ensure messaging is precise, deeply informed by technical understanding, and translated into clear, concise, compelling language accessible to diverse audiences
Lead crisis communications and reputation programs to anticipate, mitigate, and manage risk—protecting Neo4j’s brand as it scales its influence in AI-critical markets
Coach and mentor executives and internal partners to ensure alignment on messaging, positioning, tone, and narrative discipline
Strengthen communication quality and rigor across the company, instilling a culture of precision and excellence
Build, retain, and inspire a high-performing global communications team that reflects diversity of thought, experience, and background
Manage internal teams, contractors, and agency partners to performance, timelines, and budget
Requirements:
A track record of progressive communications leadership roles in high-growth enterprise technology companies, preferable as data, AI, infrastructure, Saas, database, or platform technologies
Demonstrated ability to drive a global communications function aligned to aggressive business and brand outcomes
Ability to comprehend and distill complex technical concepts, including graph data, knowledge representation, agentic systems, AI infrastructure, and GenAI, and translate them into clear, concise, compelling narratives for multiple audiences
Strong, established relationships with top-tier media, analysts, influencers, agencies, and industry stakeholders, especially within AI, enterprise software, and data infrastructure
Strong analytical and critical reasoning skills
able to use data and insights to inform strategy, shape narratives, assess impact, and optimize communications performance
Ability to apply GenAI tools and principles to improve content velocity, insights, and communications scalability
Experience leading internal teams and external agencies in fast-paced, high-growth, or category-creating environments
Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally, influence without authority, and build strong partnerships across executive, product, engineering, and go-to-market teams
Strong project management skills
able to set accurate timelines, anticipate risks, and deliver high-quality work in dynamic environments
